Thermal comfort improvement in new artificial leather materials

 
The present work is being developed in the CONFINSEAT project scope, which aims to develop artificial leather solutions with improved thermal comfort, for automotive interior applications. This project focuses on the production of artificial leather composites with improved thermal comfort properties, by incorporating specific additives in the formulation of the material, such as IR-reflective pigments or thermal conductors, during artificial leather production process. Currently, materials and processes have already been defined and the formulation is being optimized, in order to obtain at the end a material with improved comfort.
