The route towards ultra-low VOC polymer dispersions

 
During the last years there is increasing demand for polymer dispersions with very low concentrations of volatile organic compound (VOC) and low odour, to meet the stricter environmental and health regulations. This presentation will focus around our efforts in developing the next generation of ultra-low VOC polymer dispersions. The study largely focuses on the different approaches for VOC reduction but also includes understanding the sources of VOC in polymer dispersion, the diffusion rate of VOC over time and the residue of VOC after film formation. An overview of this work will be presented and the experimental data will demonstrate the progress and our dedication in continuously working on VOC reduction in polymer dispersions.
