Consumer demand for sustainable products is increasing and the interest in renewable raw materials is growing across industries. However, managing expectations with regards to the known performance, costs and sustainability perception is not an easy task. For many applications there is still no renewable alternative technically available, for others the technical solution was found in the lab, but cannot be offered with a competitive price. To make things even more complicated, using the wrong renewable raw materials might not be sustainable anymore.
