31.05.2017 Quality in the first row: Quick curable adhesives with integrated state monitoring Back Tools Bookmark Share For improved production adhesives should be cured as quick as possibel by an external stimulus. For this a process and state monitoring of the adhesive and bond is required. New methods for temperature measurement by signals out of the adhesive will be presented which are used to adjust the cure temperature. This enhances quick curing but requires adhesives formulations and raw materials compatible with quick curing processes. Otherwise the cured adhesives are brittle or foamy. As an additional controll of the state - if the adhesive is fresh, expired or fully cured - a visual inspection can be integrated. This monitors the colour of the adhesive which changes due to reaction of integrated dye which is senitive to the state of the adhesive.
