Proposed restriction under REACH for diisocyanates

 
In March 2018, the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) did submit the dossier on the restriction of the placing on the market and use of diisocyanates to the EU Commission. In the Restriction Dossier, training courses for the industrial and professional use of diisocyanates, which go beyond the REACH registration dossier, are proposed. The legislative process is expected to last at least unitl 2019, after which the regulation will enter into force. A transition period is proposed by authorities and industry so that industry can prepare the implementation of the new regulation.Diisocyanates will continue to be available on the market Processors of diisocyanates are intended to ensure that employees who deal with such sub-stances have undergone training.
