Novel sulfur functional silicon-based Q resin materials are energy cured for coatings and 3D printing.

 
Sulfur functional silicon-based Q resins and other SH silicone resins are shown to be cross linked with vinyl silicone (thiol-ene reaction) using UV light and photoinitiators. The materials are found to provide elongation up to 200% which is not possible using UV cured acrylate resins. Some formulation work developing soft, printable 3D printing resins and evaluations in basic coatings systems is shown.
