31.05.2017 New two components water-borne acrylic-epoxy hybrid technology for applications in industrial flooring and concrete coatings Back Tools Bookmark Share Waterborne Acrylic Epoxy Hybrid (AEH) systems are a novel way to create a hybrid of acrylic and epoxy chemistry. This is different from the existing acrylic epoxy systems, where acrylic is used as curing agent. AEH combines the acrylic and epoxy as one component, and it has options to use both amine and other types of curing agents, such as acid based acrylics. This paper will illustrate how the latest developments in acrylic -epoxy cross linking systems make it possible for floor coatings to provide the benefits of: Low coalescent demand for high Tg acrylic Fast drying higher UV resistance (gloss retention and chalking resistance) Longer pot-life dilution stability and ease of handling both the field trial and lab evaluation suggest acrylic/epoxy system can be used as the resin system in most of the underlying layers in simple or multi-layer concrete flooring applications Duration: 14:55Speaker: Mrs. Sandrine SinsoulieuCompany: Dow ChemicalConference: European Coatings Show Conference (ECS Conference)Session: Session 14: Construction chemicals ILocation: NürnbergDate: 03.04.2017
