New isocyanate for high performance polyaspartic coatings

 
Two components systems are particularly appreciated for their performances in the coatings industry. However, these industries have to face environmental challenges and polyisocyanates as building blocks for polyurethane and polyurea technology have their role to play in this trend. This environmental challenge can be addressed by using different technologies like waterborne 2K polyurethane or solvent free systems. Original solutions like polyaspartic systems are particularly of interest due to their ability to reach very low VOC content. Their high reactivity is essential to reduce curing time but also implies handling difficulties and mechanical drawbacks. New low Tg isocyanate or original biobased building blocks can help to overcome these difficulties.
