New dispersing agent toolbox for label-free, universal pigment concentrates

 
The demand for more sustainable paints is growing due to increasing consumer awareness and expectations, new sustainability regulations and standards and the proliferation of different eco-labels. When talking about regulations, the next challenge in 2015 for the architectural coatings industry will be the changes in the 6th ATP of the CLP which requires the proper labelling of mixtures and blends from June 2015 on. In order to avoid negative labelling of colorants and paint containers a novel toolbox of dispersants has been developed. This toolbox allows to formulate label-free, universal colorants which, in addition, comply with the new requirements of the Eco-flower (June 2014). In this paper we present application data and formulation details for this new dispersants toolbox.
