Lithium free novel accelerators for innovative cements

 
Lithium has been used to modify set and hardening times of ternary adhesives, mortars and floor screeds as a standard procedure in building industry. Challenges arise for the formulators as availability of low cost Lithium compounds has dropped considerably as demand of Lithium for energy storage has increased. Our novle developed accelerators are Lithium free, provide a viable alternative in respect to cost - performance and availability. Formulators can design even ternary systems, especially floor leveling compounds with our accelerators with equivalent technical performance and even more beneficial cost performance. New possibilities to design tailor made binding properties to ternary systems, hardening characteristics and strength development will be shown for different systems.
