05.05.2017 Creating advanced sustainable preservation systems within an increasingly complex regulatory framework Back Tools Bookmark Share The regulatory framework continues to evolve and challenge the status quo of preservation in the paints industry. The RAC opinion on MIT, the water framework directive review of algaecides, BPR active substance and product authorisations and compliance with Ecolabels are examples that each represent the continued need for change and re-design of preservation systems to meet the need of the market. This paper will overview the latest regulatory dynamics, present possible solutions and the technical challenge of safely implementing such changes, given the scale of change and the scope of work required. By applying high throughput technologies developed by us it is possible to screen and optimise solutions from 1000´s of potential combinations across the breadth of our customer´s products to address these challenges.
