Ceramic tiles with improved performance and smart functionalities

 
The present work has been carried out in the scope of REVIPOLISHED project, which aims the development of integrated solutions at the level of polished porcelain tiles that allow, by one side, ally the aesthetical characteristics to functionalities, and, in the other hand, increase and contribute to an energetic efficiency in the process and in buildings. In particular, this work has been focused on R&D of innovative and sustainable surface treatments to improve the wear performance of ceramic tiles and on R&D for integration of sensorization and smart systems. The project consortium is constituted by REVIGRÉS, the promoting company, and CENTI, an R&D entity, as co-promoter. With an overall investment of 803 661.56 EUR, REVIPOLISHED project is co-financed by Portugal 2020, under the Operational Programme for Competitiveness and Internationalisation (COMPETE 2020), in the amount of 514 628.01 EUR from European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
