Carbon colloidal dispersions for electrical-conductive and lubrication applications

 
Imerys Graphite & Carbon is providing a large amount of carbon material products (natural graphite, synthetic graphite and carbon black) for different final markets. Aqueous carbon dispersions are also part of the portfolio (semi-finished and finished dispersions). LB 2053 N and Neromix L12 aqueous colloidal graphite dispersions grades have been developed with a production process permitting to obtain a submicronic particle size distribution in the final dispersion. These dispersions have been formulated for applications where a really small graphite particle size distribution is required, combined with high electrical conductive properties and lubrication capacity. These grades are semi-finished grades without binder addition, in order to be fine-tuned by our customers in function of the final application and type of surface to coat. The main applications are conductive inks in sensors applications, conductive woven or forging metal lubricants and anti-static applications in automotive. Dispersions physical properties and applicative results will be presented.
