Automated monitoring of viscosity in manufacture of coatings

 
The main reason for rejecting a batch of paint first time it geta to the QC lab is non-compliant viscosity. Viscosity is measured off-line, manually, which makes full automation of the adjustment process impossible. In this presentation we introduce the first process rheometer for online monitoring of paint viscosity. With this rheometer it becomes possible to adjust the viscosity automatically, and to improve First-time-Right dramatically.
