07.12.2021 Application of organofunctional silanes in polyaspartic coating systems Back Tools Bookmark Share Over the past two decades polyaspartic technologies gained a considerable traction in various segments of modern coatings industry. Tightening of the VOC regulations and growing concern for sustainability and carbon footprint motivated companies to re-design traditional coating systems using new-generation high-solid, low-VOC, fast-cure technologies. In this respect, polyaspartic coating chemistries offer scientists with the robust toolbox to formulate coating systems with improved productivity and performance characteristics. In the current paper we will demonstrate how silane and silicone technologies can be used to modify polyaspartic chemistries to increase mechanical strength and corrosion resistance of traditional metal coating finishes.
