Appearance measurement along the entire process chain

 
Using the example of automotive paint process an innovative methodology for appearance measurement based on the approved confocal technology is presented. Thus it is possible to describe the development of the appearance along the entire process chain. It is shown that this methodology correlates with conventional measurements, and it will be demonstrated the effect of different substrate materials and various production sites.
