Alkyd emulsions for interior wall paints

 
It is not common practice to use alkyd resins for wall paint applications. Due to ecological discussions about renewable raw materials and pollution of heavy VOC certain countries are going to implement comprehensive legal requirements. This will push the use of this technology for formulating eco-friendly wall paints. Furthermore it is known that cationic modified alkyd emulsions exhibit excellent stain blocking properties and can be used in this context for primers and wall paints.
