06.09.2019 A novel multifunctional etheramine additive for water-borne applications Back Tools Bookmark Share Efficient coating processes are essential for sustainable manufacturing of automotive and industrial products. Amine additives are a key component of waterborne coating formulations that impact both the curing process and the final film properties. ANGUS has developed a new etheramine additive that enables low-temperature curing while simultaneously providing better coating performance. This presentation will highlight unique structure-property features that provide multifunctional benefits including catalysis, solvency and coalescence. Our results demonstrate improved hardness development, gloss and yellowing resistance. We anticipate broad interest from manufacturers and formulators seeking to improve throughput, reduce energy consumption, and enhance performance of waterborne coatings and inks.
