The furniture industry is the main consumer of wood coatings. Around 60 % of all wood coatings worldwide are used in this segment. This share has been stable for many years. With a production value of 17.5 billion EUR, Italy is Europe's largest manufacturer of furniture. It is followed by Germany and the United Kingdom.
