Over the past several decades we have seen stricter and stricter regulation of solvent emissions of coatings, to the point where water-borne coatings are often the best, or only solution. In addition, the REACH, TSCA, or other national environmental regulators are looking much more closely at materials that can migrate out of coatings into the environment.
