1 I've been following the bakeware and cookware coating business for close to 40 years. This segment also used the first type of functional coating I encountered back in the 80s. These products must provide hassle-free usage for end users. Over the years, PTFE has become increasingly popular but is now under scrutiny due to concerns about PFAS.
