The anti-corrosive paint used for the Golden Gate Bridge consists of 69 % magenta, 6 % black and rich yellow. It is called "Golden Gate Bridge International Orange" and is slightly lighter than standard international orange used by military contractors and engineering. With a total length of 2.7 km, the famous landmark spans the bay of San Francisco and has been there for over 75 years. Its construction cost USD 33 million at that time. 1,500 workers built the bridge within four years.
