SELF-HEALING PRIMERS EXTEND PROTECTION

Metals and their alloys such as steel will oxidise to form more thermodynamically stable oxide compounds when exposed to a corrosive environment [1]. Protective coatings are generally used to prevent oxidation, extending the lifetime of the underlying metal substrate.
