1 There are still rooms for improvement in water-borne paints in general and this is even more valid for anti-corrosive applications. Water-borne coatings have some disadvantages compared to their solventborne countertypes in water resistance and anti-corrosive performance. The root cause of the disadvantages arise from the nature of the water itself, which are very difficult to overcome.
