Bio-succinic acid to be used in quinacridone pigments

Clariant is incorporating renewable raw materials into quinacridone pigments at its Frankfurt-Hoechst facility. Supplied by Myriant, bio-succinic acid will be used in a significant share of production in 2014, replacing fossil-based succinic acid and thus reducing the environmental footprint of end products. The broad portfolio of quinacridone products includes high-performance pigments for the automotive, architectural and plastics industries, and colorants used in printing applications.
