A BRIGHT FUTURE FOR DULL PAINTS

Dull matt interior wall paint formulations still pose great challenges. The morphology of platelet-shaped tobermorite and rod-shaped xonotlite CSH minerals, in conjunction with specifically designed particle size distribution, opens up new possibilities to improve the quality of such interior dispersion paints. The classification of these paints (DIN EN 13300) is based on specific requirement criteria with regard to opacity, wet scrub resistance and matting [1].
