Discussions on Bisphenol A (BPA) and legislation banning the use of BPAcontaining products in certain food packaging items led to questions concerning relevance for heavy duty coatings for drinking water contact. In the protective and powder coating sectors there is a substantial part of epoxy-based coatings sold for drinking water and food contact applications.
