In this article, the latest information of these two main chemical regulatory requirements in Korea is shared. The amended Korea REACH came into force on 1 January 2019. The Ministry of Environment (MoE) is responsible for the registration and evaluation of chemical substances under this Act. After the first grace period deadline (31 December 2021), substances manufactured/imported to Korea ≥ 1000 tons/annum and CMR substances ≥ 1 ton/ annum, must be fully registered before the chemical can be imported or manufactured to Korea.
