Bio-based A consortium of 10 partners has started Bright Coatings project with the aim to demonstrate the feasibility of the production and use of bio-based aromatics for sustainable alkyd coatings. The whole value chain is included: from bio-waste (Cosun Beet Company, Lenzing and Vertoro), conversion to (aromatic) building blocks (TNO, Biorizon and Relement), resin synthesis (Worlée Chemie), paint formulation (Baril Coatings) to coating application (Straalbedrijf Boxtel and Tobroco Giant).
