Demand for coatings that save energy and reduce thermal stress is increasing. Cool pigments are those that reflect more near-infrared radiation (NIR) and thus have a high TSR (Total Solar Reflectance). They are usually associated with complex inorganic colour pigments (CICPs) and are established on the market for their cool properties.
