The European Construction Products Regulation requires a construction product to have a CE mark if it is placed on the market in the European Economic Area and is covered by either a harmonised European product standard or a European Technical Assessment (ETA). In the liquid-applied roof-waterproofing coating product category, CE certification can currently be achieved via the European Technical Approval Guideline (ETAG) 005.
